UK medtech start-up Abtrace has announced that it will launch its proactive monitoring system at Arab Health 2022, which takes place later this month.
The system, which is designed to empower patients with chronic conditions, uses cloud-based software to track a patient’s condition and monitor their medication and any tests they take, providing them with greater control and the ability to manage their own health. The data gathered by the system aims to change the management of chronic conditions from reactive to proactive.
Dr Umar Naeem Ahmad, Abtrace CEO said: “Building on top of our integrated primary care product delivered to healthcare professionals, we are delighted to be launching a product to reach patients directly on their mobile devices. Patients will be able to see when they need to see their doctor for routine tests and have overdue tests flagged for action."
"By putting the patient at the heart of the product, we aim to inform and empower the patient with the knowledge in a simple, accessible, and clear format they can use to take control of their health. We look forward to joining the ABHI UK Pavilion at Arab Health 2022 to showcase how it can support patients globally.”
The system, which is already in use at NHS primary care health centres, has been built by healthcare professionals with the aim of improving patient care by giving GPs and healthcare assistants more information and reducing costs as well as administrative work. Abtrace have received a UKCA and CE mark for the software which has been certified as a medical device.
