Located at the Sherdley Road Industrial Estate, Inovus Medical has recently received a £700,000 investment with its expansion and is forecasted to create further jobs.
The designer of medical and surgical technology plans to use the funding to implement a suite of new 3D-printing technologies and introduce new software additions to its existing product offering.
Inovus Medical’s chief executive, Dr Elliot Street, said: "Whilst it is gratifying to see how far we have come in the years since we launched, what is most exciting is the prospect of improving the care of patients across the globe through improved access to high quality, realistic and affordable healthcare simulation – this investment will allow us to do just that at a scale far beyond that which we were previously able.”
The company has just launched the most recent innovation in healthcare simulation, the Bozzini Hysteroscopy Trainer, which is a revolutionary new method of teaching skills to operate on the womb.
The capital can now assist Inovus to improve adoption of innovative products in the UK as well as globally.
Winner of a number of awards including the EIT Health Headstart Award and British Chamber of Commerce Regional Small Business of the Year Award; this expansion will continue the firm's year of growth.
