Deloitte has launched the Life Sciences Catalyst, a platform that will enable operators in the biotech, medtech, pharma and tech sectors to collaborate on the major challenges their industries face.
The platform will facilitate collaborative efforts between professionals, businesses and potential investors in order to help companies of all sizes to grow.
The Life Sciences Catalyst, which is headquartered in the centre of Cambridge, will allow companies to access an online white paper database, take part in virtual events and access Deloitte’s solutions suite: Biotech-in–a-Box.
The platform will be headed by Fran Cousins, Deloitte partner and head of the public sector technology and digital risk business of its risk advisory division. Cousins said: “The Life Sciences Catalyst combines the best business leaders and Life Sciences expertise with the local and global capabilities of Deloitte to generate business growth in Cambridge.”
“Supporting companies throughout their scale-up journey, we will provide dedicated support, investment summits, webinars, original insight, research and a network to catalyse success in the Cambridge economy.”
Deloitte South East practice senior partner Paul Schofield said: “Our purpose with the Life Sciences Catalyst is to support organisations as they grow and thrive.”
“Opportunities for the Life Sciences sector are significant and we look forward to bringing the wider capabilities of Deloitte – from tax advisory to finance function development, from modelling to strategy consulting, capital markets advisory to transaction readiness support to the many exciting Life Sciences businesses in our vibrant local economy.”
