This is a really interesting and varied field based IT Product Specialist (12-month contract) opportunity with a global leader in healthcare.
You will be joining a dynamic, friendly technical support team delivering Laboratory, Point of Care and remote teleservice solutions, customer support and training to hospitals across the UK (so will need to be able to travel widely). You will be responsible for working with the company’s own IT middleware solutions plus 3rd party instruments and their connected IT. Remote connectivity solutions also form a vital part of the company’s service providing remote support to customers. Day to day you’ll be responsible for supporting customers, coordinating software/hardware upgrades and be involved in site system design and implementations with colleagues at hospitals across the UK.
Degree educated (or equiv) or with relevant professional qualification you will have a successful track record in pathology analytical systems support and implementation and a solid understanding of modern clinical pathology pathways and workflows. You will be adept at configuration, installation, troubleshooting and optimization of point of care and other analytical path lab systems with a good knowledge of IT networks and components. You will be a good team worker, communicator and enjoy your customer facing role.

In this demanding and varied role, you will be responsible for providing first class training and applications support on PACS and radiology informatics. You will need to have at least two years’ post qualification experience as a radiographer coupled with expertise in teaching and training. If you have worked as a clinical application specialist before this would be a distinct advantage but is not essential as full training will be given. You will also need a BSc Radiography, Assistant Practitioner or equivalent, expertise in CR, DR and PACS administration and current HPC registration.
