The application specialist for endoscopy is a cruicial position which is essential to the company’s success. It helps ensure the sales team has sufficient technical skills and knowledge to effectively sell the company’s products and forms part of a trusted team supporting endoscopy customers with education and training.

To apply you will ideally be degree level educated and have good clinical endoscopy experience as an ODP or endoscopy nurse (ideally gastroenterology/ GI but urology or bronchoscopy could also be useful). If you have a few years under your belt as an application or sales specialist that would be great but is not essential as full training will be given. It will also involve remote monitoring of equipment to help ensure any potential problems are identified quickly and plenty of team working with field service and technical support colleagues.

You will need an excellent track record of relevant sales and will have a good network of consultant anaesthetists and senior theatre/ emergency department contacts on the territory. Alternatively you could be working as a biomedical scientist in blood sciences (haematology, biochemistry) and have a strong knowledge of point of care (POC) testing and be looking to move into a trainee sales role. A clinical background as an ODP or ITU/ theatre nurse or POC BMS would be a real advantage as you will already be familiar with this technology. Either way you will be confident about discussing coaggulation testing at all levels within the hospital.
