Applications for the 2022 East Midlands Digital Health Accelerator have now opened. The programme, from the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN), aims to support companies working in digital health by assisting in the spread and uptake of their products and innovations within the UK’s NHS.
The accelerator offers businesses a tailored expert support package relevant to their needs. The package includes one-to-one support, coaching, help with developing value proposition and opportunities to showcase technologies, products and innovations to decision-makers and influencers within the NHS.
Tim Robinson, Commercial Director at EMAHSN, said: “Our role is to support the spread of health innovations at pace and scale. We are uniquely placed between the NHS and industry, and this Digital Health Accelerator programme will make the most of that relationship to help companies navigate the healthcare system and maximise on their innovations. We look forward to welcoming the successful companies to the scheme later this year.”
Dr Matthew Beatty, co-founder and CEO of Sapien Health, part of the scheme’s 2021 cohort, said: “Overall, an incredibly worthwhile experience and one that I would recommend to any health start-up wanting to scale in the UK. The team at EMAHSN are always available to speak with and their expertise has helped Sapien grow as a business.”
Companies interested in the accelerator scheme can apply on EMAHSN’s website, with applications closing at midday on November 15.
