Often having a clinical background themselves as a radiographer with the DCR qualification, these roles are often considered to be a natural progression into capital sales covering a range of specialist radiography areas including medical imaging (radiology), general X-Ray,  computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET) and ultrasound.

These medical sales jobs ordinarily work mostly with capital equipment with major players being household names Fuji, GE, Siemens, Philips, Agfa & Cannon.
