Sales document processor strengthens medical equipment presence
22/07/2010
Several leading medical equipment companies have signed up use a leading document process automation service, with the aim of helping them streamline their sales processes and apportion spending elsewhere.
Esker, the French-founded medical logistic services firm, now boasts Bayer, Biomnis, Fresenius Medical Care, MEDRAD and Roche Italia among its client roster.
Esker's chief operating officer, Emmanuel Olivier, said cutting down on procedural costs means equipment firms will have more budget allowance for job opportunities.
"Healthcare cost controls, tighter regulations, expired patents and the growth of generic drugs are some of the many constraints that companies are facing in this industry at a time when they need to cut costs without compromising on the level of service offered to the patients," he said.
"Automating business document processes and particularly purchase orders, helps companies reduce their costs."
He added that their system improves the efficiency of the sales orders process, cutting down on faxes and post while freeing up sales staff. It gives extra levels of traceability, quality control tracking and priority management with minimal effort.
In a new white paper, entitled 'Finding the Cure for Order Processing Pain in the Life Sciences Industry,' Esker summarises the unique challenges faced by medical equipment organisations when processing sales. It provides a strategic outlook on the issues faced and covers solutions implemented for industry leaders.
