Deltex growth provides medical sales jobs hopes
20/07/2010
A Sussex-based leader in oesophageal Doppler monitoring is anticipating a promising year for jobs in medical sales, after recent figures showed growth in all of its key markets.
Sussex-based Deltex Medical Group said that it had made significant progress in the first half of this year towards achieving it goal of establishing the use of the CardioQ-ODMÔsystem as the standard of care for patients undergoing major surgery.
The increase in sales in the first half of 2010 – in all key markets, compared to the same period in 2009 – measured more than 12 per cent, to more than £2.9 million.
The company's chairman, Nigel Keen, said the figures were allowing them to approach the remainder of 2010 with marked confidence.
"Sales are growing in all our key markets, costs are under tight control and we are on track to achieve cash neutrality even assuming only modest levels of continuing sales growth," he said.
He added that the austerity measures being forced on so many of the developed health economies as a result of the global recession, means that opportunities were being brought forwards to achieve its aim of system-wide adoption of its products.
